SOURCES OF FINANCE
The funds to study in UK can be managed by student’s Self Funded Parents; Fixed Deposits and Savings Funds or from Education Loans from nationalized or private sector banks which are readily sanctioned if requirements are fulfilled.
Apart from this, as students are allowed to work on a part time basis in UK for 20 hours a week during classes and 40 hours a week during vacation, the earnings can contribute towards loan repayment. Scholarships are one large source of finance too.
APPLICATION & VISA PROCESS
Tier 4 (General) Student Visa has to be applied to study in UK. The nation has introduced a new Point Based Immigration System, mainly for skilled workers from all over the world in the wake of the UK’s new policy of treating both EU and non-EU students equally.
The visa application process requires a set of documents to be submitted following which if all goes through, all the students have to avail a Skype call credibility interview to declare the intention of UK visit to the Visa officer. Post this step if the interview is a success, then the visa is approved which takes time (approx. 15 working days). The stamping of visa is later done on the passport, initially for 1 month allowing the student to enter UK.

A strong personal statement is the game changer here, where the student can describe education achievements, extra-curricular and co-curricular activities elaborately.
